Scottish Government Consultation on Town Centres and Local High Streets
Informal Consultation with key stakeholders
Ross Martin, Policy Director of The Centre for Scottish Public Policy is to facilitate at a series of meeting with individuals and groups throughout Scotland over the coming months to seek views on how to regenerate and rejuvenate Scotland's Town Centres and Local High Streets.
Looking at:
- What are the key challenges to economic and social success of town centres and local High streets in Scotland?
- To what extent are these specific to individual towns, regional, or national in scope and scale?
- What are the key actions that could be taken to support regeneration and growth of our town centres and local high streets, and who has the remit to undertake these actions?
It is intended to bring together all the views to inform the Vital and Vibrant Town Centres conference, subtitled "The Challenge for our Town Centres and High Streets" which will take place on 19 November 2008 at the Stirling Management Centre.

Meeting in Edinburgh
Ross is keen to hear the views of community planning partners in Edinburgh. He is holding a surgery on Wednesday 1 October 2008, at the West Lothian Room, Midlothian Suite, Lothian Chambers on George IV Bridge, EH1 1RN.
All individuals and groups are welcome to drop in between 3 and 5pm.
