Area Board
Area Board
The next meeting of the Area Board will be held on 28
March 2012 at 10am in Northfield Willowbrae Community
Centre.
The Area Board is made up of elected members, local
residents and members of the East Housing and Regeneration Team.
The board's job is to decide on where improvements to the
neighourhood are most needed and allocate the budget
accordingly. Local people told the board that improvemnts to
communal drying areas, play areas and fencing, are important, so
many of these have been upgraded or renewed this year. An example
of improvements to fencing in Marionville Road can be seen
here.

Nominations for projects are eligible if they are on land or
assets held by services for Communities ((SfC)
This includes:
- Grassed areas and other open spaces, roads, footpaths and
garage areas.
- Common areas such as drying greens, bin store areas, stair
entrances.
The aim of the project should be to improve the immediate
environment for local residents but projects should also show that
they can extend the lifespan or increase the value of the land or
asset that has been improved.
