Welcome to the Liberton & Gilmerton
Neighbourhood Partnership 2011 - 2014 Local Community
Plan. In Liberton & Gilmerton we have already
established a sound base of partnership working, and we now need to
rise to the challenge to move forward from these strong foundations
in order to keep improving local services.
This plan was developed in consultation with 900 local
people. We have worked to involve, listen to and engage as many
individuals and community groups in the local area as we could in
the development of this plan and hope that it represents the views
of the local communities that it seeks to serve. We wish to thank
everyone who has taken time to help us develop this
plan.
Our aim is to continue to speak to local people and
involve them in decisions that are made about the development of
their services. The plan sets out the priorities for the
neighbourhood that have been agreed by partners, agencies and local
communities. It represents a commitment by the Neighbourhood
Partnership to the improvement of services and to improving the
quality of life for local residents.
