VOLUNTEERING IN LIBERTON GILMERTON

The area of Liberton Gilmerton takes pride in the fact that large numbers of local people give their time freely to support others through volunteering opportunities.

Volunteer Centre Edinburgh South helps people who are unemployed into volunteering, as a route to work.  Volunteering for as little as 3 hours a week can greatly improve your chances of getting a job.  Volunteering can help you:

  • Develop skills and access training.
  • Improve confidence and motivation.
  • Improve your CV and gain a reference.
  • Learn more about an area of work you're interested in.
  • Give something back to your community.
  • Help a cause you feel passionate about.
  • Have fun!

Volunteer Centre Edinburgh South can give you:

  • Access to information on over 450 different volunteering opportunities.
  • Help to discover which volunteering roles best suit your goals, skills, interests and personality.
  • Support to contact organisations about becoming a volunteer.
  • Advice about gaining training through volunteering.
