The Pentlands Neighbourhood Partnership is trying out a new way
to involve community members in the use and maintenance of local
parks and greenspaces.
We're inviting anyone who lives in the
Pentlands area to attend a workshop on the 25 October
between 5.45pm and 7.00pm at
St Cuthbert's Episcopal Church in Colinton. There they
can find out how to get involved in their local parks and
improving their local green spaces.
Council and partner staff will be on hand to discuss:
- Formal and informal friends of parks groups
- Community growing
- Grass cutting and meadow planting
- The Pentlands Regional Park
- Plus funding opportunities for those
who're interested in getting involved.
The workshop is open to everyone but we ask that you register
your interest beforehand so that we know how many will be
attending. To register online please follow this
link, or if you would like to register by phone please call the
Partnership team on 0131 527 3816.
