Modernising waste colection in the city centre
We want your views on waste collection in Edinburgh's City Centre
21 December 2010
Modernising Waste consultation period extended to 28 January
2011.
Edinburgh is a beautiful, vibrant city and we are always
looking for ways to improve the quality of life for our
residents and visitors. We need to find innovative solutions
to the way waste is currently collected and processed.
We particularly want to get the views of residents and
businesses within the Edinburgh World Heritage
site about waste and recycling collection.
The Modernising Waste consultation aims to find solutions to waste
issues such as:
- black bag collection at kerbsides
- seagulls and vermin ripping open kerbside bags and spreading
waste into the streets
- increasing recycling and reducing landfill.
Your views will help us to identify creative solutions. We would
like you to complete our online
survey before 28 January
2011. All the information you may need is
include in a
fact sheet .
You can also pick up a copy at your local Council
office or library, or print out a hard copy of the survey
. Completed surveys can be handed into any Council
office, library or returned by post.
If you require more information or wish to discuss the
topic, please email Modernising Waste or
telephone on 0131 529 7310.
The City of Edinburgh Council is also promoting Modernising
Waste Consultation survey through the Council's website
