City Centre Neighbourhood Partnership
A unique area
within the city
Edinburgh's city centre faces a unique set of issues and
pressures within Scotland's capital city. The city centre is home
to the Scottish Parliament as well as numerous festivals, events
and celebrations, and is the chosen destination for
millions of visitors every year. It is the public face of
the capital.
The City Centre Neighbourhood Partnership works to deliver
quality of life improvements for all those who live, work, study,
or visit the area and enhance it's role as an
outstanding location for everyone.
The Partnership area (Ward 11) has a residential
population of around 23,000 people, spreading from Abbeyhill in the
east, to the city's West End and Tollcross areas. Importantly, it
also covers the city's world famous areas of the Old Town and the
New Town and shares almost exactly the same boundaries as
the UNESCO World Heritage site.
Anyone with an interest in the city centre is very welcome to
attend meetings of the Partnership. There is always
a surgery that takes place from 6.30pm where Police and
Council staff are available to answer any questions you may have
prior to the start of the main meeting at 7.00pm.
We look forward to seeing you at the meetings and hope
you take the opportunity to have your say about what's important to
you in the city centre. Working together, we can make a
difference to what happens. Your City Centre
Neighbourhood Partnership needs you!
Welcome to your Partnership, it's your city centre and your
views
The next meeting of the Partnership will take place on
26th January 2012, 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the City Chambers, High
Street.
The Partnership would like to thank everyone who gives their views during all our consultation events. We welcome your comments and suggestions at any time. Send them to:
