Craigentinny & Duddingston Neighbourhood Partnership
Craigentinny & Duddingston Neighbourhood
Partnership covers the local authority multi-member ward of
Craigentinny/Duddingston. The area lies to the east of the City,
with Seafield Road and the coast along its eastern boundary. It
includes the areas of Craigentinny, Restalrig, Lochend and
Meadowbank to the north and Willowbrae, Mountcastle and Duddingston
to the south. At the most south west point of the area is Holyrood
Park, with Arthur's Seat, Salisbury Crags and Duddingston Loch. The
convenership of this Neighbourhood Partnership rotates on an annual
basis. The convener in 2010/2011 is Councillor Stefan
Tymkewycz.
This summer there are lots of activities and fun things to
do in the Craigentinny & Duddingston area over the school
holidays. Check out what is happening in your area here
Consultation for the new Portobello High
School continues with a further meeting on 25 August at
Portobello Town Hall. Watch this space for further
details.
The Partnership is delighted to announce that
Figgate Park was recently awarded Green
Flag status. This is a fantastic achievement
for local Friends of Parks Groups, the community and the
Partnership's Environment Forum who worked together on the
project. It also proves that working together does deliver
new and exciting results
