More About Us
The City Centre Neighbourhood Partnership is made up of Community Council members, Councillors, Lothian and Borders Police, NHS Lothian, the voluntary sector and a representative for the city’s university students. The Partnership is tasked with identifying, prioritising, and planning improvements to enhance the quality of life for people who live, work, study, or visit Edinburgh’s city centre.
One of the main objectives of the Partnership is to produce a community plan by summer 2008 that will form the basis of a workplan for the next 3 years. The plan will contain a number of priorities that the Partnership will be tasked to deliver and will be regularly monitored to measure and evaluate progress.
The Partnership is supported by a number of thematic support groups that assist it in its work. These groups are:
- Business
- Cleaner, Greener, Safer, Healthier
- Planning, Performance and Communication
- Community Engagement and Cohesion
- Young People
The minutes from all these support groups will be published on this site. It is important that everyone sees exactly what discussions are taking place and how the Partnership is problem solving and reaching solutions to the tasks it has been given.
The Partnership encourages people to attend the meetings and contribute positively to making a real difference. There is also a feedback form on our webpages if you require further information, are seeking additional advice, or simply want to leave comment.
