Forrester Park Estate - West Team Responds to Residents Requests

Following requests from residents in the Forrester Park Estate regarding a number of issues, including vandalism, dog fouling, litter and fly-tipping the West Neighbourhood Partnership office established a Working Group to link with local people in tackling these problems.
The Working Group initiated a number of multi sectional activities that included Environmental Wardens/Task Force, Police, Roads, Graffiti Specialists, Street Lighting and Community Safety Officers - These were -
Household letters and leaflets relating to estate management
Discussion and advice to garage owners/sub let on general upkeep and improved security.
Police neighbourhood surveys and community safety advice
Joint Partnership work on an estate ‘clean-up’ day
The estate clean–up day covered a range of activities including road/drain repairs, removal of illegally dumped items and shrubs/trees pruned. Graffiti removed from buildings and street furniture and enforcement against irresponsible dog owners.
The multi team initiative was deemed a ‘success’ with very positive feedback from residents and general thanks being offered for the improvements achieved.
