Who we are?
Members of the local community, local councillors and representatives from Kirkliston Primary School Association, Kirkliston Parish Church, Gateside Resident?s Association and Kirkliston Environment Group.
What do we do?
· Provide a link between the community and City of Edinburgh Council
· Work with local councillors on numerous local issues
· Bring pressure to bear on the council and other bodies on a variety of local issues, such as traffic, street lighting, street cleansing, education, health, licensing, etc.
· Comment and contribute on local and national transport issues
· Comment on local planning applications
· Liaise with the local police
· Represent Kirkliston on the Almond Neighbourhood Partnership
· Represent Kirkliston at the Edinburgh Association of Community Councils and the Scottish Association of Community Councils
· Liaise with Edinburgh Airport
· Organise Santa?s Xmas Eve tour of the village
Support Kirkliston Gardening Club and the annual Flower Show
