Edinburgh Community Safety Partnership - Hate Crime Survey

Edinburgh Community Safety Partnership (ECSP) is responsible for co-ordinating a joint agency reshate.jpgponse to community safety issues across the city.  They want to find out more about your experiences with harassement in public spaces around the city, particularly on public transport such as trains, buses and or trams.  Your answers help address isues around hate crime and harrassment on public transport in Edinburgh, ensuring better access for all.

What is Harassment?

It's that feeling of going about your day normally and suddely feeling really SELF CONSCIOUS, UNCOMFORTABLE or THREATENED because of actions directed at you by another person or group of people.

  • Shouting something offensive
  • Sexually charged comments
  • Purposely getting to close, or blocking your way
  • Leers
  • Whistles
  • Honks
  • Flashing
  • Stalking
  • Kissing Noises
  • Vulgar Gestures
  • Gender Policing
  • Public Masturbation
  • Non sexually explicit Evaluative Comments (eg "you're fat")
