Ribbon Ceremony for Colinton Mains Park

The offical Ribbon Ceremony for Colinton Mains Park and bulb plant is on Monday 22nd November 1.30 pm with tea and coffee being provided by Oxgangs Neighbourhood Centre.

This event is to clebrate the opening of two new exciting play areas which have been added to Colinton Mains Park.

• A new play area for 3 to 12 year olds featuring two basket swings, two cradle swings, rope net roundabout, toddler multi play roller coaster unit with slides and game panels, four seat springer and the Core multi play unit with nets, climbing and banister slides.

• A teenagearea featuring a 7m wide goal end which incorporates a football goal flanked on either side by rebound walls with a basketball backboard and hoop mounted above the goal and a meeting point seating unit to provide a spot to gather with friends.

The funding for this work was provided by The City of Edinburgh Council, Services for Communities, Parks and Greenspace and WREN through the Landfill Communities Fund, Waste Recycling Group. With thanks to Dunedin Canmore for providing the installation of the teenage area.
