People of the Portobello & Craigmillar Neighbourhood Partnership you have the power to decide how funds will be spent in their community.

For the past four years, the partnership has run You Decide - an event where the people of this fine partnership are directly involved in deciding how the P&C community grant fund should be spent locally.

This year, the funding pot is slightly bigger, set at £22,637, so if you are a community, voluntary or third sector organisation, take a few minutes to decide what you could use up to £2,000 to improve the local community you deliver services in. You don't have to it alone, maybe there is a project or piece of work you could develop in partnership with another group, bringing different experience/ knowledge to add value to the application

.

Applications for You Decide will be invited very soon, and voting will be in October/ November 2018, but don't delay that time will pass in a flash so have You Decide on your respective orgainisation, group or associations agendas and start thinking what project or piece of work you have been wanting to start and now have an opportunity to take forward.

Many things will be similar to previous years but there are a few exciting changes too.

The project Launch will be on 5 September & a Funding Workshop will be held on 11 September in the Craigmillar Library, 101 Niddrie Mains Road, Edinburgh, at 6.00pm. In addition, over the two-week voting period we will be offering multiple voting stations using local libraries and community center's

To complement the launch of this years You Decide PB Initiative the Partnership will hold a Meet the Funders Event. This type of event is a free marketplace, providing access to funding information for community projects. It is an opportunity for groups to discuss their ideas with potential funders and collect a range of information about possible sources of grant aid. The event also offers the groups an opportunity to meet and work together.
