The Results annoncement was part of a youth foucused community afternoon at Carrickvale Community Centre, you can see pictures from the event on the Reel Youth Media Website.

South West Grant a Grand

Over autumn 2015 and early 2016 young people in South West Edinburgh were given the opportunity to suggest projects and then vote on the ones they wanted to see go ahead.

There were 10 prizes each of £1000 to be granted, and we received over 600 votes to determine which 10 ideas got the money.

We are now closed for applications this year having received a total of sixteen valid applications that went forward for the vote in February.

Young people in South West Edinburgh were able to vote at Fountainbridge, Balgreen, Sighthill (Gate55) or Wester Hailes Libraries when checking out a book, at community centres when attending a youth club, online and at the beginning  of the results event in February.

Voting started on Monday 1^st February and ran in libraries until Wednesday 24^th, with the results announced at a community event on Friday 26^th February at Carrickvale Community Centre. The event included stalls from local community groups, live music, sports tasters and refreshments.

The money has been allocated by the South West Neighbourhood Partnership from their community grants fund budget. So everybody making an application should read the Community Grants Fund Guidance and Conditions of Funding.
