City Budget Summit 2010

Thank you to everyone who took part in our 2010 budget engagement exercise. You can now view the full report online.
On 15 October a budget city summit was held at the Scotsman head office. This event saw leaders from the public and business sectors, community and voluntary organisations and members of the public come together to discuss some of the key budget challenges facing the city.
Representatives from the public sector including the City of Edinburgh Council, NHS Lothian, Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Services and Lothian and Borders Police were represented, as well as the Chamber of Commerce.
The City Summit gave participants a deeper understanding of the budget pressures facing the city and the public sector, and the opportunity to join in a debate of the key issues.
