£eith has decided!

Leith has led the way by being the first Neighbourhood Partnership area in the city to hold an event where the decision making power on how public money is spent is given to the people. Approximately 350 people turned up, despite the snow and ice, on Saturday 27 November to make the decision on the allocation of community grants.
Of the 29 projects, 4 withdrew their application before the event. The remaining 25 projects made short imaginative and information presentations. Written information was also made available. 20 projects were rewarded with a community grant. Details of which projects were funded can be found on the £eith Decides website page. Those projects which were disappointed will be given advice on alternative sources of funding.
