The CC is a very proactive team of local activists that are
passionate to see and bring positive change to their local
community. The local area is indexed as one that suffers from
high deprivation. It is neighbouring on the biggest regeneration
area in Edinburgh.
Faced with a range of complex social challenges, our meetings
have topics that discuss environmental issues, clean safe and green
objectives, meet and debate and lobby local City Councillors,
discuss issues with the local Police Office, and City Planning
Departments along with the Neighbourhood Partnership Officers.
We also invite updates at our meetings from our local
Housing Associations and Housing Developers and Employability
Initiatives. We have local residents attend and take part in
discussions.
