Community councils are run on a voluntary basis by local people
and represent EVERYONE living or working in the area. Stenhouse
Community Council serves the area of Stenhouse, Saughton Mains and
Whitson.

Stenhouse, Saughton Mains and Whitson areas. As your Community
Council, we will advise of significant projects being planned for
our area, of police reports and advice, of transport issues, of
events, the news and views of our community, and of useful contacts
and links to groups and organisations related to our area.
We give local residents an opportunity to speak out on local
issues, to put forward the views of the community to the City
Council and other organisations, to campaign and raise awareness of
issues affecting the community, and we also organise community
events.
Above all, we strive to actively encourage local participation
in making decisions for and about Stenhouse, Saughton Mains and
Whitson.
