Janice Galloway, Candia McWilliam, Doug Johnstone and Allan Guthrie are just some of authors appearing at the 2011 Portobello Book Festival - put together by a group of enthusiastic people in collaboration with Portobello Library.
A packed programme also includes sessions on topics as diverse as health, forests, architecture, family history and children's reading habits.
On top of this there are workshops for aspiring writers, a guide to getting started in the world of comics and there's even a cabaret evening as well.
