The Council has been granted planning onsent for a new
Neighbourhood Office in Craigmillar, on the site off the old St
Francis primary school.
The new East Neighbourhood Office and Craigmillar Library will
provide real opportunities to improve local service delivery. The
new building supports the ongoing regeneration of Craigmillar and
will form part of the development of the new town centre.
Bringing staff together from several Council departments, and
possibly the Police, will improve joint working. This will
make it easier for the local community to access the services they
need.
Work is on schedule and it is hoped that the building will be
open for business by early 2013.
