South West Locality Improvement Plan

Work to develop a Locality Improvement Plan (LIP) for South West Edinburgh, covering both Pentlands and South West Neighbourhood Partnerships, has been underway since November 2016. This plan will guide how the Council, the Police, the NHS, Fire and Rescue Service, and the third sector work together with the community to deliver local priorities in South West Edinburgh. Development will run until October 2017 when it is due to recieve final approval.

As part of developing the new South West LIP we're asking service users and members of the public to complete a short online questionnaire. It contains four general questions about what people would like South West Edinburgh to be in future. The questionnaire will be open to the 9 January and paper copies are also available in South West and Pentlands libraries, or can be emailed on request.

Some community partners and community members attended the Neighbourhood Partnership LIP workshop in November. Feedback from that event will be combined with responses to the questionnaire and will help us frame more focused consultation in the first half of 2017.

We're also conducting this in tandem with the consultation on the Edinburgh 2050 City Vision, so we can better link short and long term planning.
