Harvester's Way Regeneration
What is Happening
The Healthy Living Centre at Harvester's Way is now open and operational and an official opening ceremony took place in November 2013.
The remainder of the site will be developed as affordable housing by Places for People and a planning application has been submitted. Places for People hope to start building works early in 2014.
The Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre is a joint project between the Council and NHS Lothian.
The development provides new accommodation for the Wester Hailes Medical Practice and a wide range of community health services including physiotherapy, dentistry, podiatry, speech and language therapy, midwifery, paediatrics, mental health and learning disabilities.
There are Council services located in the building, including Health and Social Care, Children and Families and Criminal Justice social work practice teams.
Community Consultation
Consultation took place with NHS Lothian, the Council and the local community which helped develop the plans for the Healthy Living Centre.
Places for People have completed their Pre-Application Consultation with the local community.
