Road Services Update
Due to the heavy snowfall at the weekend, Road Services reverted
back to category 1 routes. All category 1 routes were
treated, ploughed & gritted. Road Services will commence
work on category 2 routes.
Refuse Collection Update
Waste services resumed scheduled collections last week but
experienced problems in some areas due to compacted ice therefore
were unable to make all routine scheduled collections. The
recent snowfall again will have affected access into routes within
the area and will delay further scheduled collections this week.
Further information to be provided once received from Waste
Services.
Temporary strategic refuse collection points (skips) have been
put in place across the city. Within the South West skips
have been put into the following locations:

Longstone - old B&Q site
-
Ratho - Baird Road opposite church
-
Westside Plaza - located within the car park behind the shopping
centre

We are currently identifying further sites for skips within the
area and will provide information once the sites have been
agreed.
Grit Dumps
Grit dump locations have been identified and we are currently
working our way through the list below. Please note that due
to the recent snow fall this will affect the sites that we have
identified and the delivery of grit supplies.
