Better Communities - Better Health
The Neighbourhood Partnerships' joint health sub group held their annual development workshop on Wednesday 13 June 2012. The workshop was held in the Council Chamber, City Chambers, High Street.
Following on from the success of last year's event, this year's session was 'Better Communities - Better Health; Promoting Mental Health and Wellbeing'; with a focus on what helps people and communities to be more resilient.
The session was supported by a presentation on the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2011-2016. Three further presentations were delivered on the key themes of the session. They were Housing Support and Mental Health, Older People and Social Isolation and Employability.
A total of 62 people participated in the event from all the neighbourhood partnerships. Attendees included employees from the City of Edinburgh Council, NHS Lothian and voluntary organisations.
Below is the final report from the event, including presentations, workshop notes, Welfare Reform briefing note and an attendee list.
