Neighbourhood Environment Programme
The Craigentinny & Duddingston Environment Forum have access to limited funds to carry out environmental improvements in the C&D area. Projects can be nominated by local residents and decisions on which projects should be approved are agreed by the Environment Forum members.
In addition to receiving updates on nominated projects recent meetings have included discussions on Network Rail, Craigentinny Avenue / Portobello Road junction and Duddingston Traffic congestion.
The next meeting will take place on Monday 15 October at 10am in Northfield Community Centre.
Living Street Audit. On Saturday 18 August Living Streets carried out a street audit of Northfield Crescent. This involved residents of Northfield Crescent, members of the Environment Forum, council staff and local police. The audit looked at issues relating to obstacles to safe walking, ie overhanging vegitation, handrails, broken paving etc. A report will be provided to the Environment Forum with recommendations for improvements.
