Liberton & Gilmerton Neighbourhood Partnership
The Liberton & Gilmerton Neighbourhood Partnership (LGNP)
area includes a number of smaller
communities including Liberton, Gilmerton, Inch,
Southhouse/Burdiehouse, Gracemount and Moredun.
Since 2008, the LGNP has identified and tackled a wide range of
local issues, in particular those that affect our most vulnerable
residents. This is managed through the Local Community Plan which
identifies the key priorities.
Following extensive consultation during summer 2011 involving
900 local people, the LGNP has formally adopted the 2011 - 2014 Local
Community Plan which includes the priority themes of:
- Employment
- Young People
- Health Inequality
- Better & Safer Community
The Partnership will develop the plan through its strong sub
structure made up of themed groups that involve local
people, voluntary sector and a wide range of public agencies
including theCouncil, the police and NHS Lothian. Each of these
groups works on the local priorities and finds and put in place
resources to benefit the wider community.
This link will take you to view
progress made against each of the priorities.
