YouthTalk - £ead the change

Young people of Liberton Gilmerton have spoken and the results are in!

Organisations submitted their project proposals based on young people's ideas of activities they wanted to see funded in their local area.

The two local high schools, local community groups and organsations were consulted during this time, where they could vote electronically or by paper copy.

There was an excellent response and the project organsations that have been selected by the young people have been notified. The projects chosen to be awarded were:

  • Health Opportunities Team - A Health Drop In
  • Bridgend Inspiring Growth - Girls Group
  • Bridgend Inspiring Growth - Survival skills, Bushcraft and Woodland skills Project
  • Valley Park Community Centre - Girls Group and Basketball Course
  • Liberton Gilmerton Sports Forum - Girls Group and 'Get Into' Coaching Courses

Look out for these projects starting near you! If you have any questions about the above projects, please contact the organisations direct.

Thank you to both Gracemount and Liberton High schools, local community organsations, groups and partners for supporting and taking part in YouthTalk £ead the Change.

Local projects submitted their proposals for consideration during the voting process from December until the end of January. A full list of the submitted proposals can be found by clicking here.
