Children & Young Peoples Group
Young people have told us they want to contribute positively to the local community. The Partnership wants to provide as many opportunities as it can to encourage young people to be active and get involved.
There are many issues that matter to our young people and that have an impact on their lives. It is essential that we listen to what young people have to say, develop ways to make it easier for them to make their voices heard and work together to develop the services that they need to allow them to make the most of their lives.
The Children and Young Peoples Group will work to:
- Look at new ways to involve more young people in the decisions that affect their community.
- Organise a Partnership event which will provide an opportunity to hear young people's views and assist in the future planning of service provision.
- Support the delivery of relevant summer activity programmes across the neighbourhood, in response to young people's interests.
- Increase awareness of local activities and services available for young people.
