Community Safety Group
The Community Safety Group addresses locally identified issues of anti-social behaviour, vandalism and graffiti and progresses the Improved Community Safety priority. The new group will also take forward the work previously managed by the Ward 10 and 15 Safer Neighbourhood Teams
The group will:
- Work with the Police Safer Neighbourhood Teams to identify and prioritise concerns within the community for the Police and partners to tackle.
- Develop a range of innovative ways to reassure people that crime is being tackled effectively and swiftly.
- Work together to effectively tackle anti-social behaviour such as graffiti, dog fouling, begging and street drinking
- Build public confidence through the delivery of high profile community safety initiatives.
